Raymond McDonald was raised with his 2 brothers and sister in the Houston area, then found his true home in Conroe in 2000. It was then that, after years of participation at The Anaheim Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Raymond and Teresa, his wife of 24 years, planted The Vineyard Church on San Jacinto Street in downtown Conroe. With Raymond as Senior Pastor, the church has grown by serving the needs of the surrounding community. In addition, from their home across the street from The Vineyard Church, the McDonalds have planted five other churches in Texas and Central America.

Raymond McDonald’s business sense stems from his decades of hard work growing churches, as well as his civil engineering studies at Texas A&M University, and his years as a Cost Estimator dealing primarily with the Harris County Flood Control District. Raymond, also known in the Christian music world as “Sleepy Ray”, toured and recorded albums with his band “The Mighty Blood”. Raymond and the band still perform their unique version of gospel blues in churches and Montgomery County locales for all the community to enjoy.
